Best Outdoor Playgrounds In North, South, East & West Of Singapore

North of Singapore

1. Sembawang Battleship Adventure Playground

Located in the north of Singapore, Sembawang Park’s Battleship Playground is a great place for children to explore and have fun. This pirate ship outdoor playground is a spectacular tribute to the rich naval history of the area which was once a British warship docking station. It comes complete with ropes, ladders, and a slide. Swings and a merry-go-round are also available for younger children to enjoy.

2. Admiralty Park Playground

Admiralty Park Playground is probably the ultimate ruler of all parks in the North of Singapore. With a whopping 26 slides including curved and spiralling tube slides, roller slides, and barrel slides, your child will be spoilt for choice. But wait, there’s more! This inclusive outdoor park also boasts three play areas–Junior, Adventure, and Family, each with its own set of thrilling features such as bridges, mounds, cargo nets, swings, flying fox, and even a sand play area.

1. Far East Organization Children’s Garden

The top outdoor playground for children in the southern region of Singapore is undoubtedly the Children’s Garden located at Gardens by the Bay. Aimed specifically at children up to the age of 12, the Children’s Garden seeks to promote a greater interaction with nature.

On the park’s eastern side lies another playground, which has a more contemporary design and features a climbing play structure consisting of slides and tunnels.

1. Tampines Green Forest Park

Located near the newer housing estates at Tampines Green Forest (Blocks 878A & 879A) along Tampines Ave 8, this playground features a three-storey tower structure and a sand playground for younger children. 

The main attraction for older children is undoubtedly the tower structure, which consists of three towers, a climbing cargo net, a long slide, and a circular rope ladder. Your active child can climb up the cargo netting to reach the first tower, then cross a series of cargo net bridges before being rewarded with an exhilarating ride down the tall slide!

2. Coastal PlayGrove

The former Big Splash water theme park has been transformed into Coastal PlayGrove, a 4.5-hectare play area that boasts Singapore’s tallest outdoor play tower, a nature play garden, a water play area, and a classroom by the sea. 

The main attraction of Coastal PlayGrove is the reconstructed Big Splash Tower, which is now home to the Vertical Challenge. Children can climb up its colourful rope-based obstacles, including stepping pods, hammocks, grip walls, and disc swings. At the top of the tower, visitors can enjoy breath-taking views of East Coast Park before taking an exhilarating ride down the 7.3-metre and 11.9-metre slides from the third and fourth levels.

At Block 445, the colourful Candy Trail Playground is inspired by the tale of Hansel and Gretel. It is recommended for younger children aged two to five years old. Your tot can explore a range of whimsical play structures, including a wooden plank bridge, spinning Candy Apple Trees, and an Adventure Bridge.

Meanwhile, older children can test their agility and climbing skills over at the Adventurous Treehouse playground located adjacent to Block 445B.
